I’ve said it before and I will say it again, “We are a family owned business”.
What that means is that we are not a
big corporate, we are the little guy that
cares very much for your business. That
also means the buck stops here, with the
person on the phone. We form a grounded
and loyal foundation. We are honest with
our customers. At the risk of losing the job,
we won’t tell you it will be ready in one
week and string you along for the next two
weeks, when we know it will take three weeks. We know sometimes you have dead lines, especially the movie industry, where our metal is use in period time pieces. As in this picture from an up coming Netflix series.
We are more interested in preserving the company’s ethics, commitment and loyalty for our legacy. I had started in this business after I went to the Woodstock Festival, which puts me in this business for 55 years this August, 2024.
HIPPIE
When you call a company, don't you dislike,
getting a michine giving you choices? Like “PRESS ONE" for paying your bill," isn’t it funny how that's always number one. We have a couple of people in the office and if both are on the phone it does go to a voice mail, but if not, a real person answers and one of them runs the place top notch and the other is me, the owner.
By the way, if you do get that machine, we call back quickly.
LICENSE PLATE
I am the only person in this business of selling tin ceiling panels that has also, actually, install the product. So I can see
ahead some of the answers to questions
you don’t know that you are even going to ask.
THE TINMAN
This business was started in New York City in the Chelsea area and I learned it there from my dad, but now manufacture it in Houston, Texas, y’all. Centrally located in this wonderful country, so as to help with the shipping costs to either coast. We also get our material from steel manufacturers in this country and I am proud of that too.
HOME, I MEAN SHOP
We have a unique product that is decorative, reasonably priced and an easy to install product, and very long lasting too. I decided to manufacture and distribute our tin plated steel sheets as 2’ x 4’ panels, which is the best scenario. The 2’ x 8’ sheets are just very hard to handle and the 2’ x 2’ sheets leave more seems. We do have some 2’ x 2’ sheets, which are very popular for suspenede ceilings, but the 2’ x 4’ cover a bigger area and isn’t that much harder to install.
I do layout of installation for our customer by hand because each room is different and computers, that other companies may use, aren’t made to figure out weird angles or odd sizes like, for instant this project someone has sent us to help with.
